PMO Consultant | 6 month contract | £550 pd | Berkshire hybrid | Hospitality sector

Role summary:

Act as Chief of Staff for VP Procurement & Corporate Services leadership team

  • PMO for several Global workstreams within our forward-thinking, large-scale initiative
  • Ability to lead development of a sub-functional business strategy (outlook 3-5 years)
  • Support program and project managers to set up project charters, resources, budgets and stakeholder engagement plans.
  • Work with project leaders to plan mitigation plans for issues/risks identified from the project and centrally manage issue/risk tracker to ensure mitigation is carried out as planned
  • Produce regular enterprise-level summary reports including strong storytelling.
  • Maintain overview and control of overall project budget pot, liaising with individual project owners on spend and ensuring appropriate allocation across various priority areas
  • Act as ‘one of the team', interfacing and engaging with stakeholders of all levels (analysts through to SVP)

Required skills and knowledge:

  • Experience in managing complex international / global programmes (e.g. technology, change management, business strategy)
  • Previous role in hospitality, or global setting
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships, influence and challenge Senior Leadership in a global matrix organisation.
  • Proven PMO skills with a track record of overseeing complex projects involving stakeholders in different global locations
  • Experience of working on diverse work streams
  • Highly developed strategic thinking and ability to craft high impact materials for senior audiences
  • Proven analytical capability and highly developed financial and commercial acumen
  • Track record of innovating new programmes to address business issues including full business case, roll out plan, metrics, tracking and engagement plans
  • Ability to lead development of a sub-functional business strategy plan
