An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and motivated Payroll Manager to join a leading global technology business. This role offers the chance to be part of a mission-driven team working towards creating a safer and more secure society.

The successful candidate will have the responsibility of processing semi-monthly payroll for approximately 400 employees across the United States and Canada, using Workday and CloudPay. This is an ideal role for someone with extensive experience in payroll management, a strong understanding of payroll regulations, and proven experience in a multi-state organisation.

As the Payroll Manager, your primary role will be to process semi-monthly payroll for approximately 400 employees across the United States and Canada. You will work closely with the HR Operations department to ensure all changes are processed accurately and timely. Your responsibilities will also include setting up multi-state's unemployment insurance accounts, auditing payroll data, verifying funds for 401k deferral, tracking ESPP contributions, providing information for annual audits, filing quarterly returns, reconciling QTD/YTD payroll tax reporting, and handling W2 & W-2c processing.

  • Work closely with HR Operations department to ensure all changes are processed accurately and timely.
  • Set up multi-state's unemployment insurance accounts & apply for with tax service provider.
  • Check new-hires and terminations payroll information.
  • Audit payroll data to ensure accurate processing of employee records, garnishments and tax withholdings.
  • Verify and fund Fidelity for 401k Deferral, Match, Roth, Loans, and Health Savings Account.
  • Track and update ESPP Contributions.
  • Provide information for annual 401K and workmans comp audits.
  • File quarterly Washington Labor & Industries return.
  • Reconcile QTD/YTD payroll tax reporting.
  • W2 & W-2c processing and publication.

The ideal Payroll Manager will bring extensive experience in payroll management to this role. You will have a strong understanding of payroll regulations and proven experience in a multi-state organisation.

Your experience with Workday Payroll will be essential in this role. Your good communication skills will enable you to build relationships effectively within the organisation.

Your excellent organisational skills and attention to detail will ensure that you can manage the payroll process efficiently and accurately.

  • Extensive experience in Americanpayroll management is essential.
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations is required.
  • Proven experience in a multi-state organisation is necessary.
  • Experience with Workday Payroll is mandatory.
  • Good communication skills and ability to build relationships are crucial.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail are vital.
