Production Manager

Kenny Recruit are looking for a Production Manager who loves numbers, enjoys working on Excel, who builds good relationships with suppliers and someone who is organised to join a client of theirs on a permanent basis. We are looking for someone who has at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. Reporting to the Head of Production, you will need to be pro active, able to adapt to new processes and essentially be an Account Manager for all of your suppliers. We need someone who sees the problem before it happens, someone who reacts quickly and efficiently and someone who thinks outside of the box. If your experience is from an industry such as FMCG, fashion, apparel, ecommerce, food and beverage production, or something similar which involves stock then this would be beneficial.

Pay: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependant on experience)
Location: London - 4 days in the office
Working hours: 9am - 5pm

Responsibilities:

  • Set up the seasonal costing and delivery schedule
  • Manage the critical path - chase suppliers for weekly reports, conduct bi weekly meetings with suppliers, and update the critical path accordingly
  • Flag any issues in real time with proposed resolutions
  • Distribute approved PO's to suppliers
  • Approve invoices as they come in - matching to PO's and flagging any reconciliation issues
  • Place orders where required
  • Manage trim stocks to ensure availability and control liability
  • Collate and review costings with Head of Production to ensure target margin is achieved
  • Liaise with freight forwarder - arrange shipment bookings and monitor deliveries
  • Report on weekly intake and communicate any delays across the business
  • Manage running liability and yearly stock takes

Requirements:

  • 5 years in a similar production or project management role
  • Proven track record working with complex supply chains - ideally in various countries
  • Crystal clear communication and people skills
  • High proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, with a willingness to learn new systems as required
  • A keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills
