Our client, a leading consultancy, are supporting a Teaching College with an upcoming OFSTED inspection.

Teaching Quality Improvement Consultant

  • Ensuring Delivery Coaches and Tutors have the relevant qualifications and competence to deliver qualifications and learner journeys in line with Learning ways of working and that this is accurately recorded on the Staff Matrix.
  • Sharing operational best practice resources with the wider team to bring about continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • To ensure the learner journey is maintained at a minimum Ofsted Grade 'Good' and implement support plans where necessary.
  • To contribute to the team improvement plans and self-evaluation documents to promote continuous improvement of the learner journey.
  • To support the Head of Quality to be compliant with organisational and external regulatory body requirements and processes.
  • To support delivery colleagues to meet and maintain their quality KPIs.
  • To support the Head of Quality to meet a minimum of Ofsted grade 'Good' and learner feedback outcomes 8 or above.
  • Be passionate about the delivery of an outstanding and innovative learning environment for all our customers.
  • Be professional, open, and honest and always act with integrity.
  • Take a calm evidence-based approach to observations and sampling, providing clear feedback and supporting others to improve their standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to inspire, influence and motivate colleagues to deliver excellence.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to listen and challenge in a supportive manner.
  • The ability to multi-task and effectively prioritise workload whilst maintaining quality standards.
  • Must have a committed, enthusiastic, flexible, and pro-active approach.
  • Collaborative - take ownership but also draw on the benefits of teamwork and partnering.
  • Be able to work on their own initiative with minimal supervision and be accountable for their actions.
  • Effective - deliver on what we promise and believe great service can always be better.
  • Have a proven track record in leading observations of teaching and taking part in deep-dive activities.
  • Competent in using IT, online portfolios and possess digital skills to deliver remote and face to face CPD to colleagues.
  • To be fully conversant with Ofsted Education Inspection Framework 2019 ensuring these standards are fully embedded with all delivery and programme development.
  • Full teaching qualification (PGCE, DTLLS, Cert Ed or equivalent).
  • Experience of delivering good or better Apprenticeship/work-based learning outcomes
  • Experience of leading work-based learning quality assurance and quality improvement activities.
  • Experience of conducting deep dive quality assurance activities including face to face and remote observations and making judgements in line with the standards identified in the current Education Inspection Framework.
  • Knowledge of current thinking regarding effective pedagogy, best practice and teaching and learning research and the impact of these on the quality of learning.
  • Experience of coaching and mentoring individuals to improve standards.
  • Experience of promoting wider curriculum areas including Prevent, British Values Diversity and Inclusion, Health, and Safety, English and maths, personal development, and employability.
