Vision Teaching is working in partnership with a nurturing and inclusive two-form entry primary school in Abbey Wood to appoint a passionate Year 6 Teacher to join their team from September 2025. The school is well-regarded for its strong community ethos, inclusive values, and dedication to helping every child succeed - particularly during the crucial transition from primary to secondary education.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Year 6 Teacher who is dedicated to delivering outstanding teaching and learning, with a strong focus on SATs preparation, pupil progress, and emotional support in the final year of primary school.
**Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that meet the expectations of the Year 6 National Curriculum
- Support children's academic and emotional readiness for secondary school, including SATs
- Collaborate with your parallel Year 6 Teacher and wider Key Stage 2 team to share best practices and resources
- Use formative and summative assessments to track progress and adapt teaching accordingly
- Build strong partnerships with parents, carers, and the school community
**The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally as a Year 6 Teacher
- A nurturing, pupil-focused teaching style with high expectations for all learners
- A strong grasp of curriculum planning, assessment, and classroom management in Year 6
- Excellent organisational, communication, and collaboration skills
