Vision Teaching is working in partnership with a nurturing and inclusive two-form entry primary school in Abbey Wood to appoint a passionate Year 6 Teacher to join their team from September 2025. The school is well-regarded for its strong community ethos, inclusive values, and dedication to helping every child succeed - particularly during the crucial transition from primary to secondary education.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Year 6 Teacher who is dedicated to delivering outstanding teaching and learning, with a strong focus on SATs preparation, pupil progress, and emotional support in the final year of primary school.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that meet the expectations of the Year 6 National Curriculum
  • Support children's academic and emotional readiness for secondary school, including SATs
  • Collaborate with your parallel Year 6 Teacher and wider Key Stage 2 team to share best practices and resources
  • Use formative and summative assessments to track progress and adapt teaching accordingly
  • Build strong partnerships with parents, carers, and the school community

**The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally as a Year 6 Teacher
  • A nurturing, pupil-focused teaching style with high expectations for all learners
  • A strong grasp of curriculum planning, assessment, and classroom management in Year 6
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and collaboration skills
