Job description

Work hours are:

Monday to Thursday 07:30-17:00

Friday 07:30-11:30 (Overtime available after 11:30)

Saturday available as overtime 07:00-12:00

Pay 11.50 ph

This role involves using hand tools and heavy lifting

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • You will be working either independently and/or as a part of a team running and overseeing different sections of the production line,
  • Making sure the production output meets the desired targets and the machine runs smoothly.
  • Ensure the products are manufactured to the desired quality requirements
  • Take control of the day to day running including setting and completing changeovers in a timely manner.
  • Making sure the production output meets the desired targets.
  • Report any downtime to Team Leader / Manager immediately

Comply with Health & Safety procedures:

  • Ensure safe working area when you start and complete a product,
  • Escalate and issues immediately to you team leader.
  • Operate machine safely

Improvement activities:

  • Become an active and contributing team member of the production,
  • Mentor staff and pro-actively assist development of all improvement activities on all zones.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Applicants must be hardworking,
  • Fit and healthy,
  • Quality focused,
  • Keen eye for detail,
  • Great team player,
  • Communicate effectively with all colleagues,
  • Determined to drive production capacity and rewarded with a Production Bonus!
  • Previous experience within the timber industry or some experience working on industrial production lines would be beneficial.
  • Excellent on-site training provided.
