Business Systems Support

We are seeking a Business Systems Support professional to join our client's IT Business Team. This role focuses on continuous improvement and the development of new ways of working to ensure our business systems are efficient and fit for purpose. A key part of this role will involve working extensively with our ERP system and requires an understanding of SQL, report writing, and business intelligence tools. Training on specific applications will be provided. This role is crucial for several upcoming projects and requires travel across multiple sites on an ad-hoc basis.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Collaborate with site teams to explore opportunities for improving data capture, management, and visualisation to develop more efficient processes.
- Manage the change control process from start to finish, keeping all parties informed of progress.
- Take ownership of the data management for the ERP QC Inspection Sheets system, ensuring timely documentation and implementation of changes as requested by customers.
- Assist in the implementation, oversight, and continuous development of systems.
- Conduct comprehensive testing for ERP upgrades, refine the overall testing plan, and support subsequent upgrades, escalating issues to third parties when necessary.
- Assist with complex database maintenance tasks.
- Document workflows and practices, test new workflows, and implement them in conjunction with wider teams.
- Prioritise multiple projects with strict deadlines and address escalated issues promptly, liaising internally or with third parties as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficient in ERP systems, preferably Prophet.
- Skills in SQL querying.
- Experience in report writing, preferably with Crystal Reports.
- Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools such as Qlik or Power BI.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work through end users and customers.
- Ability to meet challenging deadlines in a pressurized environment.
- Strong planning, organisational, and communication skills.
- Flexible thinking and approach with a drive for excellence.
- Customer-focused with thorough attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Open to consider 1st Line Support Engineers/Graduates with knowledge/ambition of Data Analyst responsibilities.
- Experience in Fresh Produce/Manufacturing desired, but not essential.
