Location: Remote - work from anywhere within the UK with occasional travel required to a hub.

The Risk Reporting team not only tracks the key indicators and trends which ensure the Bank is performing effectively and within its risk appetite, we also develop the truly value-adding insights which enable our colleagues to make informed strategy decisions, shaping the future trajectory of the Bank too.

What you'll be doing

  • Taking ownership of requests for new information - you'll ensure clarity of requirements, source the data, and create an efficient transformation process, whilst keeping the customer informed every step of the way.
  • Contributing to production of our regular reporting, ensuring the appropriate controls are applied and adding further insight where possible.
  • Investigating and resolving Credit Risk, Data, and MI related issues.
  • Providing support and subject matter expertise to other business units and stakeholders.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes, coding efficiency and approaches.
  • Supporting the development of your colleagues, sharing best practice and tech tips.

We need you to have

  • Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of using data analysis to independently reach informed conclusions on complex problems.
  • SAS / SQL coding experience.
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of the business, with the ability to share complex analysis clearly and succinctly.
  • Professional experience in Banking and Risk Management.
  • Self-drive and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Qualified to degree level in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Working knowledge of, and practical experience using, Power BI.

It's a bonus if you have but not essential

  • Knowledge of Credit Risk models or the Credit Risk lifecycle
