Type: Full-time, 37.5 hours over 42 weeks
Salary: NHS Band 6, £39,217 per annum (actual)

The Role

Tempest Education is partnering with a Trust based in Richmond, that is experiencing significant growth. We are excited to offer a specialist Occupational Therapist (OT) position within a multidisciplinary team of experienced OTs, Speech and Language Therapists, and specialist teachers. We seek an enthusiastic, committed, and highly flexible candidate to join our team, collaborate effectively, and actively contribute to the development of our expanding therapy services.

Responsibilities

  • Support Pupils: Help students develop essential life and learning skills.
  • Therapeutic Materials: Develop, advise on, and maintain therapeutic materials, including adaptive equipment.
  • Session Delivery: Conduct whole class, small group, and individual sessions as needed.
  • Curriculum Development: Collaborate with senior therapists to develop the OT curriculum.
  • Resource Design: Create resources to support the school and home environments.
  • Guidance: Direct and guide therapy assistants.
  • Staff Training: Work within classrooms to train staff in therapeutic approaches tailored to individual pupil needs.
  • Assessment and Reviews: Undertake specialist assessments and write Annual Reviews or Education, Health, and Care (EHC) plans as required.
