Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time
The key duties & responsibilities of the OHL Maintenance Technician are:
- To support the Maintenance Manager and Team Managers in the inspection and maintenance operations across the regions.
- To plan, prepare and coordinate inspection, maintenance & repair activities on our 132, 275 & 400kV overhead lines. This will also require out of hours standby duties.
- Responsibility for the safety of yourself and colleagues and roll out of toolbox talks and safety briefs.
- Supervise overhead line teams and ensure accurate reporting of KPI's to the Team Manager.
- Engage with relevant stakeholders to ensure clear communication and understanding of the works being completed.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Industry recognised OHL qualification for both wood pole and steel tower access and rescue or previous experience in construction, maintenance or overhead line activities.
- Knowledge of current operations and maintenance activities, electrical systems and their geography would be beneficial but not essential as informative training will be provided.
- Ability to coach and mentor less experienced colleagues.
- As this role requires travel to operational sites a full UK driving license is required.
