From infrastructure and cloud solutions to cyber security, managed services and beyond, LIMA's partnership-based working style enables businesses to achieve their most ambitious goals and deliver long-term value. In over 25 years, it's made us a trusted provider to UK organisations across the public and private sector.

This is a dual-role position responsible for both evaluating the effectiveness of the organisation's internal financial controls and providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making. This role combines the responsibilities of internal auditing—focused on risk management, compliance, and operational efficiency—with financial planning and analysis (FP&A), which involves budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.

Day to day you will be responsible for:

  • Lead the development of the annual budget, including revenue, expense, and capital expenditure projections.
  • Work closely with department heads to ensure accurate and realistic budget submissions.
  • Monitor and analyse actual performance against the budget, providing insights into variances.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to forecast future business performance under various scenarios.
  • Develop and execute audit plans to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes.
  • Conduct audits of financial and operational processes to ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and best practices.
  • Oversee the preparation and accuracy of the annual financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP, manage the statutory accounts preparation and liaise with external auditors.
  • Analyse processes and financial records to identify inefficiencies, control weaknesses, and areas of non-compliance.
  • Support risk management activities by identifying potential risks and advising on mitigation strategies.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions and other strategic initiatives by providing financial analysis and due diligence.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and systems, driving efficiency, accuracy, and transparency.

Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent UK accounting certification.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in auditing, accounting, financial control and financial planning and analysis.
  • Extensive knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and data analysis tools.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial software (e.g., SAP, Sage, Dynamics).
