Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join our global business as a

Business Systems Administrator

  • In this role, you will play a key part in IT and digital transformation projects, including cloud initiatives, system integrations, and application upgrades. Reporting to the IT Manager, you'll help design, configure, and maintain our business applications, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and ensure the optimal performance, availability, and reliability of business applications.
  • Monitor system performance and collaborate with vendors to manage updates and resolve issues.
  • Support the starters/leavers process by creating/deleting users and managing the Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) system.
  • Ensure data integrity and assist with the creation of BI dashboards and reports.
  • Provide end-user support for system-related issues, working closely with IT support and external vendors.
  • Develop system documentation and user guides, and train users on best practices.
  • Manage system updates, security protocols, backups, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and project management to configure applications and ensure they align with user needs and strategic goals.

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of A-level education (or equivalent), ideally with professional certification in IT-related fields.
  • At least 2 years of experience in systems administration, with a focus on business-critical applications.
  • Proficient in enterprise software applications, database management (SQL), and troubleshooting business systems.
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems and basic network management.
  • Strong understanding of information security and data protection regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A collaborative team player, able to work effectively under pressure and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.

Flexibility

This role offers a hybrid working model with 2 days in our Gloucester office and 3 days working from home. Some UK travel, overnight stays, and occasional after-hours meetings may be required.
