We are currently working with fantastic SEN schools across Luton that provide for children between 5 - 19 that have been diagnosed with wide ranging mental, educational and social needs. The schools endeavour to ensure children reach their full potential, through high standards of teaching and learning.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant you would be working alongside the class teacher and other support staff, helping them to meet the differing needs of the children in the classroom. A flexible approach to the role is vital as you will need to support the classroom as a whole, as well as providing support to students individually when needed.

Requirements of a SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Personal/Professional experience with children and/or young people is desirable but not essential
- A caring individual with energy, drive and enthusiasm.
- Ability to work as part of team, alongside teaching and support staff
- Willing to support a pupil with personal care where necessary.
- Able to use their initiative to support learning.
- Passion to support children and young people with special educational needs
What you'll need:
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to get one.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification, at level 2 or above.
