Supervisor with SMSTS and Telehandler

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Supervisor with a valid SMSTS certificate and Telehandler ticket to oversee a civils gang on our construction site. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising daily operations, operating a telehandler, and assisting with site records and Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead the civils gang, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to the required standards.
  • Operate the telehandler safely and effectively for material handling and site logistics.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of site records, including daily reports and timesheets.
  • Collaborate with site management to develop and implement RAMS, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor and enforce safety protocols and ensure all team members adhere to site safety guidelines.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including management, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Qualifications:

  • Valid SMSTS certification.
  • Valid Telehandler ticket.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the construction or civils sector.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and site management best practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
