Job Title: Legal Secretary

Salary: £24,000 - £27,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Job Type: Full time / permanent (Hybrid working)

Location: Maidstone, Kent

We are looking for a Legal Secretary to join our client who is a highly reputable, expanding law firm based in Maidstone.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to solicitors in the Family Law department
  • Prepare and manage legal documents, including court forms, correspondence, and client files
  • Assist with scheduling appointments, court dates, and meetings
  • Communicate with clients, court staff, and other legal professionals in a professional manner
  • Conduct legal research and compile information as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards of the legal profession

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Legal Secretary is essential.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and legal software programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
