Finance Assistant

DMC Trailers is a trailer hire and rental company whom specialise in spot rental and long-term contract hire, known best for refrigerated trailer solutions but who also operate a fleet of trailers, including Curtainsiders, Flats and Skeletals across the UK, Part of the Ballyvesey Holdings group of companies and an established firm, you won't find better service with greater expertise anywhere else. DMC Trailers have over 20 years experience operating a growing fleet of over 1000 trailers, most built new to customer specifications, with a growing set of satisfied customers.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing the necessary support in the processing of accounting information, including ensuring all information and data is processed in an accurate, timely and effective manner. This role would suit an accounts all-rounder and involves Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger and Credit Control duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data entry on Sage 200, Fleet Hire and Maintenance System.
  • Reconciliations of supplier and customer accounts
  • General administration within the Finance Department
  • Point of contact for suppliers and customers as well as internal colleagues to help resolve invoice and accounts queries.
  • Manage accounts queries, ensuring everything gets through to supplier payment stage efficiently.

The roles involve data entry on various systems, so accuracy is key. Training will be provided but previous experience in a busy accounts department in your current or last job is a role requirement.

The role is full time 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday and half an hour unpaid lunch break. This is an office-based role in Scunthorpe, remote working is not available for this position.
