Accounting Supervisor

Oakley Hill is partnering with a high-growth chartered accountancy practice based near Newbury, seeking a proven Accounting Supervisor to lead their talented team on a full time, permanent basis.

The Role:

  • Day-to-day management/supervision of a team of 4
  • Annual accounts preparation for sole traders, limited companies, partnerships and LLPs with relevant disclosures, explanatory notes and schedules.
  • Updating client accounting systems with end of year adjustments.
  • Corporation tax returns and associated computation preparation and supporting schedules.
  • Self-assessment tax return preparation for individuals, partnerships, and property investors (including capital gains tax computations).
  • Project managing the company output of client work via delivery through others
  • Relationship management with your clients, getting to know them and their needs better.
  • Working as a service delivery team exceeding client's expectations

Key Experience:

  • Fully qualified accountant (preferred)
  • You will have a solid understanding of accruals, prepayments, accrued and deferred income as well as the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
  • Relaxed about leading and mentoring other team members.
  • Ideally experience working in practice.
  • Preparation for end of year accounts for a variety of businesses.
  • Tech savvy and able to learn new systems, and work hard (and smart) to deliver as a team.
  • Competency with Accounting software e.g. Xero or similar.
