Posted by ADLIB.

A client of ours with a market-leading in-house agency is looking for a Senior Motion Designer to join their multidisciplinary 3D and 2D Motion team. They are seeking a strong practitioner with leadership abilities to help propel them forward – someone who can support with major projects, bring ambitious concepts to life, and deliver boundary-pushing results for global clients.

What You'll Be Doing

You will be joining a team of around around five motion designers within a creative agency comprised over 90 practitioners globally, across graphic designers, UI/UX designers, web developers, visualisers and more. They collaborate with renowned clients, delivering world-class, innovative solutions across a range of touchpoints. The successful practitioner will be a generalist motion designer, ideally with strong skills in 3D motion design.

This is a great role for someone with leadership experience or qualities – someone who has mentored other designers, is confident speaking to clients, can allocate design work to the right individuals, and who is comfortable managing others when required. You won't be leading this team on a day-to-day basis, but will be second in command within motion design, so will need to demonstrate confidence and a great strategic mindset.

Having experience working across a range of project types would be invaluable to this role. The agency works across web, events, exhibitions, apps, and more, with influential global clients. Additionally, having great storytelling abilities through your work is essential – delivering projects that tell a company's story is a major part of what this agency does.

What Experience You'll Need to Apply

  • Strong experience with software like After Effects, Premiere Pro, Audition, Photoshop, Illustrator, and packages such as Cinema 4D, Blender.
  • Experience designing from concept through to completion, with abilities across art direction, storyboarding, editing and animation.
  • Storytelling abilities, whether in animation, editing, or 3D/AR.
  • Leadership qualities – an ability to mentor and lead the motion team.
  • Client-facing experience, and an ability to challenge and spot opportunities in briefs.
  • Experience with illustration, 3D, augmented reality, and software such as Unreal would be desirable.

What You'll Get in Return for Your Experience

The agency has a really friendly, welcoming culture for a company of its size. They also offer hybrid working (2 days/week in the office), flexible working arrangements, a flexible benefits scheme, medical and dental insurance, and much more.
