Designer - Savills Place, Ipswich

Purpose of the Role

This role is full time, based in central Ipswich operating within a small team but growing team. There will be constant liaison with other members of staff, our current existing in-house designer and clients in various UK locations to coordinate and deliver all design-based work. The artwork aspect of the role demands close attention to client briefs, timelines and work schedules. The role may require regular travel including some overnight stays. The company will meet the cost of such business expenses.

You will be responsible for delivering a wide range of design work for a variety of placements.

A solid understanding and previous use of the Adobe design suite is essential.

With the ability to manage a high workload, meet deadlines and prioritise tasks you are a driven and creative individual ready to ensure high quality designs for the company and its clients.

Our clients will range from B2B to B2C clients across the Savills portfolio; including retail, leisure, commercial, office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create campaign/design concepts from scratch, as well as work to agreed concepts.
  • Work on creative briefs within a fast-paced environment, producing designs which are suitable for websites, email, social media, signage, and print.
  • Pay close attention to brand, accessibility, colours, typography, consistencies, print requirements etc.
  • Work alongside design agencies where required.
  • Create video content for clients.
  • Be able to apply brand guidelines to client work.
  • Accurately interpret and deliver design briefs and liaise with clients and internal management teams where required.
  • Assist in the creation of brands for clients.
  • Ensure all produced artwork meets client and brand guidelines.
  • Research, detect and gather evidence on the latest marketing trends.
  • Analyse and review the success of design and artworks, to remain up to date with client demands.
  • Work alongside current designer and senior marketing team to help grow income stream.
  • Be organised and keep on top of filing design work in internal Sharepoint system.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience in the use of the Adobe creative suite.
  • Proven experience in the use of Microsoft suite.
  • An understanding of CMS systems such as Wordpress, Craft.
  • An understanding on email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp.
  • An understanding of HTML.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Confident in presenting to clients.
  • Good time management and organisational skills.
  • An excellent eye for detail.
  • Extensive experience in the use of online media.
  • An ability to work under pressure and multitask to achieve set targets and maintain standards.
  • Flexibility and can-do attitude.
  • Team player.
  • Understanding and a proven flair for marketing/comms.
  • Ability to work on one's own initiative, with communication of activities back to line Manager.
  • Ability to work with professionalism and integrity at all times.
  • Fluent in using Macs & PCs

Desirable

  • Marketing/Design degree or equivalent
  • An understanding of Animation (video-making, motion graphics, GIF creation)
  • Web development skills

The candidate attributes detailed above are considered to be non-essential although training will be provided on more technical aspects of the role.
