This transport company, based near Blackpool, is recruiting a new administrator. With a current turn-over of 6 million, they aim to continue to grow both the team and their business. The successful candidate will support their current 5 current transport planners with all aspects of Administration.
Your new role

  • Controlling the main email inbox, responding, and dispersing information when required.
  • Carry out credit checks on new customers and referring queries to the finance department.
  • Uploading PODS daily to the system from drivers and subcontractors, ensuring the criteria for the documents are met.
  • Working closely with the finance team to complete any tasks that may be required, dependent on business needs.
  • Maintaining an insurance log and chasing up expiring policies with subcontractors efficiently.
  • Any other administration tasks, as and when required by the finance or operations team.
  • Leasing with customers via telephone and email regarding customer forms being filled in, returned and processed.
  • Updating the planning systems with new job details.
  • Supporting the planning team by updating the planning system relating to delivery schedules.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Excellent organisation, attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Competent with Microsoft Packages and inhouse systems.
  • Organisation and time-management.
  • Efficient at dealing with enquiries.
  • Previous Administration experience.
  • GCSE in Maths, English and Science.
