About The Offer:

  • £33,000 - £34,500
  • Permanent Contract
  • Monday to Friday; 8.30am - 5pm. Hybrid working available: up to 2 days working from home.

About The Role: The IT Systems Engineer ensures the efficient operation, maintenance, and security of the organization's IT infrastructure, providing technical support and optimizing systems for reliability and performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Service Desk Support - Provide technical support to end-users, ensuring timely resolution of issues and meeting established Service Level Agreements (SLAs),
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues across the organization,
  • Provide support for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, assisting in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of these critical business applications,
  • Manage and maintain servers, desktops, and other IT systems,
  • Install, configure, and update system software and applications. Administer user accounts, access controls, and system security settings,
  • Monitor system performance and availability, ensuring stability and scalability,
  • Assist in managing and maintaining network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access,
  • Monitor network performance, optimize traffic, and troubleshoot connectivity issues. Implement and configure network security protocols, ensuring secure data transmission,
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system configurations, user guides, and troubleshooting procedures,
  • Document changes to system infrastructure and IT processes for future reference and audits,
  • Participate in IT projects, such as system migrations, hardware upgrades, or network expansions,
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement technology solutions that align with business goals,
  • Provide training and support to end-users on IT systems, software, and best practices for using technology. Educate staff on security practices to reduce risks associated with human error,
  • Ensure IT systems and processes comply with relevant standards, such as GDPR, ISO, or other data protection regulations. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, continuously improving skills and applying best practices
  • Be available for on-call support as required to ensure business continuity outside of normal working hours,
  • Perform any other related tasks as required by the organization to maintain smooth IT operations.

About you:

  • Experience with ERP systems (Rubicon, IFS)
  • Experience of Microsoft 365 environment
  • Good understanding of Windows environments
  • Good understanding of VMware technology
  • Able to work under pressure and delegate tasks effectively
  • Driving license and access to own car
  • Preferably, good understanding of SQL databases
  • Preferably, knowledge of Cloud AWS and Azure
  • Preferably, good understanding of cyber security and best practices
