Location: Chorley
Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 (negotiable based on experience and qualifications)

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will maintain regular communication with nominated advisers, ensuring the efficient completion of work-related tasks. You will communicate with clients, both verbally and in writing, to provide updates and respond to non-financial advice-related queries. Handling post, updating adviser and client records, and completing required actions will be part of your daily duties. You will manage Letter of Authority requests, following appropriate processes within quoted turnaround times.

You will also prepare cases for paraplanning, ensuring all required information is on file to enable the completion of recommendation reports, and liaise with relevant departments to resolve outstanding queries. Preparing client documentation for meetings, including brochures, client agreements, questionnaires, data capture forms, provider application forms, illustrations, and key features documents, will be part of your responsibilities.

You will submit and complete new business cases, adhering to compliance and new business processing guidelines, recording all business on relevant databases, and ensuring it is stored or scanned to systems per company standards. Monitoring the business pipeline through to completion, liaising with advisers, clients, providers, and, where relevant, GPs and medical companies, while maintaining notes for audit purposes, will be essential.

Maintaining client files according to company guidelines and standards, providing client servicing, including accurate maintenance of client review dates, and preparing paperwork required for review meetings, such as portfolio valuation reports, annual costs and charges disclosures, regulatory documents, provider application forms, authorities, and data capture documents, are key aspects of this role. Additionally, you will assist the business as needed, including meeting and greeting clients, and answering and dealing with incoming enquiries.

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum Grade 4 or equivalent in GCSE English Language and Mathematics
  • Experience providing administrative support to a financial adviser in a financial planning firm
  • Understanding of the UK financial regulatory framework and legislation
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a collaborative working style and a commitment to getting the job done
