The opportunity:

Reporting into the Markel Care Practitioner Team Leader

Markel Care Practitioners has a proven track record of introducing effective and integrated tailored solutions whether as part of an improvement journey, managing complex risk, responding to incidents from safeguarding to serious case reviews, or providing training, advice or professional support.

What you'll be doing:

  • Carry out the day to day administration as required regarding Markel - surveys, Markel policy holder services and other clients.
  • Maintain and update on going activity using spreadsheets/Data Base/CRM and computer filing systems.
  • Dealing with daily incoming telephone calls, emails, dealing with enquiries, taking messages and requests.
  • Producing documents, briefing papers, reports and presentations.
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers and other staff.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Carrying out or contributing to specific projects, back ground research and presenting findings.
  • Supporting associates with well organised administration services
  • Tracking specific projects and Associates current and planned tasks using and developing the existing methods in place, spreadsheets at present.
  • Contribute to the updating of the library for associates, website and the development and maintenance of high quality up to date communication material and functionality of pages and links.
  • Maintain security and confidentiality in all aspects of environment and communication.
  • Recording and reconciling financial records and invoices.
  • Administrate and facilitate recruitment and vetting and ongoing support processes connected with Associates/staff members and the program of distant e support post induction program that MCP has in place.
  • Updating and maintenance of Associates information - files, insurance and CRB's.( primarily carried out by Avencia)
  • Administrate the payment process for associates.
  • Contribute to maintaining a healthy and safe environment within MCP and Markel Intl. Group organisation.
  • Carrying out audit and review processes.

Our must haves:

  • Be motivated, organised, confident and have excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Use initiative, imagination and be able to work within the team and alone.
  • Be comfortable communicating and working with managers.
  • Knowledgeable and competent to use IT programs, including Microsoft word, office, excel, spreadsheets, Publisher, PowerPoint.
  • Able to write letters, reports and record expenses, send and received emails, prepare business presentations, compile mail shots and make business appointments.
  • Able to carry out research using literature and the web; record and carry out basic analysis.
  • Able to understand the importance and maintain confidentiality with liaising with other organisations and professionals.
  • Understand the business and communicate clearly and effectively by phone and email.
  • Flexible working practice.
