Job: Manufacturing Engineers (3 positions)
Location: Woking, Surrey, UK
Hourly Rate: Upto 46/hour
Contract - 6 months
iO Associates is looking for a number of Manufacturing Engineers for one of the pioneering automotive manufacturers known for producing high-performance sports cars that combine cutting-edge technology, innovative design, and unmatched driving experiences where you'll utilize your process improvement experience to enhance client's production systems.
Your role will involve reducing costs, optimizing capacity, and supporting client's production team in building high-performance vehicles. Please see individual roles & responsibilities below:
Manufacturing Engineers x 2
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Degree in mechanical/automotive engineering (2:1 or above) or equivalent experience.
- Experience with 2D & 3D CAD environments.
- Compliance with Health & Safety regulations (e.g., DSEAR & COSHH).
- Knowledge of GD&T principles and Construction Design & Management (CDM) regulations.
Body Manufacturing Engineer x 1
- The update and control of the following deliverables for existing series models:
- Process sequencing, documentation, and product traceability methodologies
- Update process documentation and PFMEA's and Quality Control Plans
- Implement and control Lean Manufacturing and error proofing strategies, validate load paths, tool access and ergonomics - series models.
- Hours per Car generation & reporting
- Ownership and maintenance of the Hours Per Car (HPC) data for existing models, ensuring plant efficiency and output targets can be achieved.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience :
- A degree in mechanical /automotive engineering or similar (2:1 or above) or equivalent experience in a similar role
Ideally you will have experience with:
- Specification and procurement of major assembly equipment
- Planning and execution of vehicle programs
- Complex vehicle systems
- Vehicle assembly processes
- Body assembly processes
