Job Description:
As a Multi-Sport PE Coach, you will play a key role in delivering engaging, high-quality physical education sessions to both primary and secondary school students. We are looking for a proactive and flexible coach who is comfortable working across different sports, from football, basketball, and athletics to swimming and gymnastics. You will be responsible for creating a positive and inclusive environment where students of all abilities can develop their physical skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess PE lessons in multiple sports for primary and secondary school students.
- Adapt coaching techniques to suit the individual needs and abilities of students.
- Foster a love of physical activity and promote healthy, active lifestyles.
- Encourage students to develop key life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and resilience through sport.
- Collaborate with school staff and other coaches to organize extracurricular sports activities, tournaments, and events.
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all students during lessons and activities.
Candidate Requirements:
- Relevant PE qualifications (e.g., a degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related field).
- Coaching certifications in various sports (e.g., Level 2 coaching qualifications in football, basketball, rugby, etc.).
- Experience coaching children and young people, ideally in both primary and secondary school settings.
- A passion for working with young people and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
- First Aid certification (desirable but not essential).
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
