Legal Assistant
Annual Salary: £30kper annum
Location: Southampton (office based)

We are seeking a Legal Assistant to join a professional team in Southampton. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks and will act as a key point of contact throughout the course of a matter.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Efficiently manage file opening and closure processes.
- Perform administrative tasks including creating digital and offline bundles, typing from dictation, and collating medical records.
- Support the credit control process by creating bills and paying invoices in a timely manner.
- Serve as a point of contact for clients and team liaison, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the course of a matter.
- Provide initial advice and guidance to new clients via phone or email, demonstrating professionalism and empathy.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a legal support role.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Proficiency in typing from dictation and managing legal documentation.
- Experience with billing and invoice management.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently.
