Domestic Gas Service Engineer

A national energy service organisation is looking for a dedicated Domestic Gas Service Engineer to join our Social Housing Service team in Plymouth. This role is ideal for someone who excels in providing exceptional service and ensuring the safety and comfort of residents. You will be a vital member of their service and maintenance department, playing a key role in the functionality of gas systems within their client's properties.

Day to day of the role:

  • Conduct routine servicing and maintenance of gas appliances and systems to industry standards and regulations.
  • Respond to gas breakdowns and emergencies, diagnosing faults and implementing effective solutions.
  • Carry out repairs and replacements to ensure the reliability and efficiency of gas installations.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, including service reports and parts used.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service, effectively communicating with residents and professionally addressing concerns or queries.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • General competence in Commercial and Domestic Gas CCN1, CPA1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1.
  • C&G Energy efficiency.
  • NVQ 2 or equivalent.
  • Punctuality, professionalism, flexibility and working knowledge of Mobile PDA.
  • Good fault-finding skills.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Social Housing or Housing Associations market on gas installation projects and maintenance contracts.
  • Experience of working with residents and clients directly.
  • A clean UK driving license and DBS check will be required.
