Deutsche Bank trades all currencies, including G10, Emerging Markets and Metals, in all tenors.

You will be an integral part of the Global Foreign Exchange business in London. The Global Foreign Exchange (GFX) business is looking to hire a senior risk-manager for Metals in London. We are currently looking to broaden our reach in our Metals offering and look to maximise the value of our existing infrastructure by hiring Trading expertise.

Your key responsibilities

  • Responsible for directing and risk-managing the Deutsche Bank Metals portfolios in the European time zone
  • Quoting the Bank's franchise in the region across a wide range of currencies and products, providing competitive pricing for clients in collaboration with traders in other locations
  • Growing the Metals franchise (spot, forward, derivatives) and developing strong physical book
  • Identify and nurture new opportunities and relationships with institutional and corporate clients
  • Working closely with sales, structuring and clients to build and expand the Metals franchise
  • Generating and pitching trade ideas and market colour for clients, actively seeking business opportunities and broadening the client base

Your skills and experience

  • Proven years of prior work experience in Metals Trading
  • Experience of pricing and managing Precious Metals Spot and Forward risk
  • Knowledge of base metals trading and London metal exchange/ Chicago mercantile exchange approved warehouse exchange storage, exchange warrants issuance, warehouse receipts issuance
  • Knowledge of the various products traded in the Spot, Forwards and Options Metals markets
  • Strong understanding of market structure and existing relationships with participants and stakeholders
  • Commercial focus, ability to take initiatives, and skills to solve complex business problems/ ability to articulate ideas confidently and concisely and be a team player
