This is a permanent role with hybrid working 5 days in the office

Accounts Receivable and Credit Controller:

Head of Finance
Job Summary:
The Credit Controller is responsible for managing the company's credit and collections processes. This includes evaluating creditworthiness, monitoring credit limits, maintaining accurate records of all credit transactions, and ensuring timely payment of invoices to optimize the company's cash flow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Credit Management:

Raising daily sales invoices in NetSuite.

Assess the creditworthiness of potential customers by evaluating credit reports, and payment histories.

Set credit limits and terms of credit for new and existing customers.

Experience with AR invoice discounting and credit facilities.
- Collections:
-
Monitor customer accounts to identify overdue payments.
-
Initiate collection efforts through phone calls, emails, and letters.

Negotiate payment plans and settlements with customers to recover outstanding amounts.
- Account Reconciliation:
-
Regularly reconcile customer accounts to ensure all payments are correctly applied.

Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or disputes related to payments or invoices.
- Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all credit and collection activities.

Prepare regular reports on credit status, insurance exposures, overdue accounts, and collection efforts.
- Communication:

Liaise with customers to resolve any issues that may prevent timely payment.

Collaborate with the sales team to manage credit risk while supporting business growth.
- Reporting:

Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on the status of the company's receivables.

Provide analysis and insights on trends in customer payment behavior and credit risk.
- Compliance:

Ensure all credit and collections activities comply with relevant laws and regulations.

Keep abreast of changes in credit management practices and legislation.
Profile
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or a related financial role.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (particularly Excel).

Familiarity with financial analysis and credit assessment tools.

NetSuite experience (desirable)

Interpersonal Skills:

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Problem-Solving:

Ability to resolve conflicts and manage difficult customer situations.

Analytical Skills:

Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and make informed credit decisions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification (e.g., AAT or Credit Management Certification) is an advantage.
- Experience in the IT sector (desirable).
- Knowledge of credit ratings and insurances

Job Offer
The successful candidate will be paid £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience.
