With extensive experience and expertise, they provide a full range of integrated Civil and Structural Engineering consultancy services tailored to meet the diverse needs of their clients. They handle a wide variety of projects, from major new builds to complex renovations in both the public and private sectors. Their portfolio spans numerous industries, including Theme Parks, Leisure, Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Waste and Recycling, and Education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Lead a small team and produce creative design solutions using steel, reinforced concrete, timber, and masonry.
- Technical Expertise: Prepare detailed structural calculations for multiple materials using appropriate software.
- Project Management: Oversee project delivery from inception to completion, manage personal workload, and oversee technician drafting requirements.
- Client Interaction: Prepare fee quotations, attend site and design meetings, and regularly update invoicing.
- Communication: Provide feedback to the management team, promote the company, and maintain excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to British Standards, Eurocodes, and design guidance, and understand the commercial implications on projects.
- Software Proficiency: Utilise software including TEDDS, TEKLA, and CSC Portal Frame Designer.
Qualifications:
- Proven ability to produce creative design solutions in multiple materials.
- Strong understanding of British Standards, Eurocodes, and design guidance.
- Proficiency in TEDDS, TEKLA, CSC Portal Frame Designer.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to undertake calculations independently.
- Experience in preparing fee quotes and managing invoicing.
- Understanding of commercial implications on projects.
