Description
- Overseeing the preparation and submission of tax returns and necessary paperwork.
- Developing tax strategies and policies that help the company maintain compliance with local and international regulations.
- Conducting complex tax research and analysis to minimise tax liability.
- Ensuring the company meets tight deadlines for tax returns and reports.
- Auditing systems and procedures to identify potential tax risks.
- Collaborating with internal and external auditors to ensure proper controls are in place.
- Providing leadership to the Accounting and Finance team.
- Keeping up-to-date with changes in tax law and regulations in the insurance industry.
Profile
A successful Tax Manager should have:
- An advanced degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance and all types of tax returns.
- Good understanding of tax software and MS Office Suite.
- Exceptional leadership skills to guide the accounting and finance team.
- Good analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Proven track record in a similar role within the insurance industry.
