Role - Transactioanl Finance Manager

Our client, a prominent technology services provider, is seeking an experienced Transactional Finance Manager to join their European finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional who enjoys leading a team, solving challenges, and driving improvements.
About the Role:
The AR/AP Manager will report to the Head of Finance and will be responsible for:
- Managing the Accounts Receivable team
- Overseeing Accounts Payable activities for the European business
- Achieving monthly and annual goals for AR/AP and cash management
- Working closely with the Financial Controller
- Providing leadership, direction, and training to the team
- Ensuring customer satisfaction both internally and externally
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage European Accounts Receivable function
- Conduct weekly ledger analysis and reporting
- Complete monthly customer statement reconciliations
- Maintain a 13-week cash flow forecast
- Monitor bank reconciliations
- Collaborate with AP team to ensure invoice approval before payment
- Approve weekly payment runs
- Resolve supplier invoice queries as needed
- Ensure accurate invoicing and excellent service for existing customers
- Improve billing processes for increased team efficiency
- Participate in strategy meetings and conduct team meetings
- Develop relationships with other departments, particularly sales
- Track and analyse performance metrics
- Provide guidance on AR tools and systems
- Manage account delinquencies and reconciliations
- Lead and develop the AR team to support company objectives
Ideal Candidate:
- 5+ years experience in Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable
- Experience with computerised ledger systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics)
- Confident and clear communicator
- 2-5 years experience in a leadership role
