Bookkeeper

My client, a natural resources company based by Tower Bridge, is seeking to hire a Bookkeeper to join their busy team.

This is a permanent and full-time opportunity, with hybrid working (3 days in office).

Salary for this role is £35,000 + benefits.

The Role:

Support the company by providing timely, accurate financial and management reporting in accordance with local requirements and company policies, including profit & loss statement, balance sheet and ensure compliance with external requirements.

Responsibilities:

  1. Performing monthly financial closing routines, ensuring accounting entries are recorded timely & accurately
  2. Checking bank account reconciliations and confirming that all bank accounts have been reconciled
  3. Reviewing the purchase invoice report and verifying all purchase invoices are correctly recorded and accounted
  4. Checking the stock account and reconciling the stock balance. Preparing the monthly stock report
  5. Reviewing administrative expenses and ensuring that all the bills are recorded correctly. Accruing for the bills not yet received.
  6. Performing currency controls. Re-valuating the foreign currency balances at the end of the month.
  7. Responsible for inter-company account reconciliation
  8. Reviewing all inter-company account balances and reconcile with counter-parties
  9. Preparing the inter-company schedule monthly
  10. Raising re-charge invoices - ensuring that accounting entries completed timely & accurately
  11. Work on Balance Sheet account reconciliations monthly. Ensuring all the accounts are reconciled, all the un-reconciled items are actioned
  12. Handling periodical Client and Supplier reconciliations
  13. Carry out office administrative tasks
  14. Filing of accounts related documents
  15. Supporting Finance Manager in handling the audit process of group companies

The Ideal Candidate:

  1. Minimum of 3 years' experience in Finance
  2. Solid knowledge of financial reporting and analysis
  3. Proficient user of QuickBooks
  4. Excellent analytical skills
  5. Strong communication skills
  6. Fluency in MS Office Applications; Advance Excel, Word, Powerpoint
  7. Experience in multi-currency financial accounting
