Clinical Operations Lead

Our client requires two new Clinical Operations Leads with country / site facing experience only. They are committed to rewarding their employees for their impactful challenging work, so here are the perks:

You will be the kind of person who wants to make a difference within your day-to-day work, but of course there are a few other requirements:

  • Possess country / site facing experience only
  • Bring at least 3 years of relevant experience (experience in clinical trial management is advantageous).
  • Hold a university degree or have equivalent years of experience, with a preference for a focus in life sciences.
  • Possess a robust understanding of the drug development process and relevant regulations, including ICH and GCP guidelines.
  • Demonstrate initiative as a self-starter who is passionate about achieving successful outcomes and delivering results during assignments.

  • Prioritise high-quality service delivery throughout your assignment.
  • Excel in dynamic, collaborative environments, thriving in fast-paced and ambiguous situations.

In this role you will contribute to innovative clinical trial delivery, enhancing the experience for patients, caregivers, and site staff. You will also be responsible for:

  • Ensures timely and efficient delivery of all operational aspects of one or more studies through all phases (start-up, conduct, and closedown), adhering to appropriate quality standards including ICH/GCP and applicable regulations.
  • Represents the UK on the global study team.
  • Manages site relations and recruitment in the country of origin.
  • Provides direction and leadership to the local study team, including Clinical Research Associates (CRAs), to ensure successful study delivery.
  • Collaborates with local Medical Affairs (MA) colleagues.
  • Works with relevant country PDG colleagues (if applicable) to ensure timely feasibility, start-up, site payments, etc.
  • Ensures timely delivery of the study within the UK while maintaining quality, compliance, and adherence to the diversity plan.
  • Drives study timelines, budget, risk management, and operational study plans, including inclusive research or diversity plans, while ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Partners with other PDG colleagues (global and country) to address any IRB, Health Authorities, and Ethics Committees questions and audits; ensures best practices, issue escalation, and consistency throughout the study.

Location: Welwyn Garden City (Hybrid, 2 days in office)

Salary: £339.27 - £376.97 per day (PAYE) basic OR £450 - £500 per day (UMB) basic

Full Time: 37.5 hours per week

6 Month Contract (Inside IR35)
