We are currently seeking skilled and experienced Forklift Truck Operators with valid in-date UK licenses to join our client's team in Dukinfield. As a Forklift Truck Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods within busy industrial environments. Responsibilities:
- Safely manoeuvre forklifts in busy industrial environments to transport goods
- Stack and unstack large quantities of goods onto shelves or pallets in a secure manner
- Move goods from storage areas to loading areas for transportation
- Unload deliveries and relocate goods to their designated storage areas safely
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in forklift driving areas, promptly addressing any spills or obstructions
- Regularly inspect forklift equipment for faults or damages and report any issues
- Utilize industrial plastic wraps and wooden pallets to securely stack and package goods for transport
- Adhere to health and safety requirements and follow proper forklift operating procedures
- Consolidate partial pallets for incoming goods
- Operate the coating machine, coordinating materials, and carrying out quality checks
- Provide support and assistance to the Senior Operator in the day-to-day running of the Coating Machine
Requirements:
- Valid in-date UK forklift truck li Forklift Truck Operator license (Counterbalance&Rich)
- Previous experience operating a forklift truck in a busy industrial environment
- Excellent understanding of safe forklift operation and material handling practices
- Ability to efficiently stack and unstack goods with precision and care
- Attention to detail to ensure proper documentation and quality checks
- Strong commitment to health and safety protocols
- Good physical condition, capable of lifting and moving heavy loads
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
The working hours for this position are rotating shifts from 06:00-14:00/14.00-22.00/22.00-06.00. The hourly rate of pay is £13.04
