Forklift Truck Operator

We are currently seeking skilled and experienced Forklift Truck Operators with valid in-date UK licenses to join our client's team in Dukinfield. As a Forklift Truck Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods within busy industrial environments. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic company and contribute to their day-to-day operations. The work is approximately 70% General labor, 30% Counterbalance & Rich

Responsibilities:

  • Safely manoeuvre forklifts in busy industrial environments to transport goods
  • Stack and unstack large quantities of goods onto shelves or pallets in a secure manner
  • Move goods from storage areas to loading areas for transportation
  • Unload deliveries and relocate goods to their designated storage areas safely
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in forklift driving areas, promptly addressing any spills or obstructions
  • Regularly inspect forklift equipment for faults or damages and report any issues
  • Utilize industrial plastic wraps and wooden pallets to securely stack and package goods for transport
  • Adhere to health and safety requirements and follow proper forklift operating procedures
  • Consolidate partial pallets for incoming goods
  • Operate the coating machine, coordinating materials, and carrying out quality checks
  • Provide support and assistance to the Senior Operator in the day-to-day running of the Coating Machine

Requirements:

  • Valid in-date UK forklift truck li Forklift Truck Operator license (Counterbalance&Rich)
  • Previous experience operating a forklift truck in a busy industrial environment
  • Excellent understanding of safe forklift operation and material handling practices
  • Ability to efficiently stack and unstack goods with precision and care
  • Attention to detail to ensure proper documentation and quality checks
  • Strong commitment to health and safety protocols
  • Good physical condition, capable of lifting and moving heavy loads
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team

The working hours for this position are rotating shifts from 06:00-14:00/14.00-22.00/22.00-06.00. The hourly rate of pay is £13.04
