AV Sales Consultant

We are currently working in partnership with a growing AV (Audio Visual) system integration company who are looking to expand their sales team with a new member, who can bring energy, drive, ambition and passion to succeed.

You will be working from home, so location isn't an issue albeit ideally a commutable distance to London and the surrounding areas for meetings. You will enjoy developing new business, new relationships, creating in-roads to enhance opportunities but equally becoming a trusted go-to person for future solutions, based on your proactivity, knowledge and pride of getting things done quickly, accurately and on time.

Objectives of the role:

  • The objective of the Sales Consultant is to consistently bring in new project and revenue business from new business partners and end clients, as well as existing key accounts, in order to achieve year on year turnover and gross profit targets.
  • Corporate clients are the target market.
  • This is a role which requires a high level of commercial and technical competency.
  • The successful candidate must be able to adequately demonstrate that he or she is both capable of seeking out and establishing new business, technically capable to turn a client brief into an accurately costed proposal and create overview schematics (with internal support as needed) and scope of works using Industry standard quotation software. (Visio and D-Tools are used but these are trainable).
  • The successful candidate must possess a clear drive to succeed and able to accurately and effectively manage, a consistently growing sales pipeline.
  • This is a 'self-starting' role; a self-motivated and disciplined approach is essential to success.

Responsibilities include:

  • Generate and follow up on new project sales leads and opportunities. Working closely with an internal lead generator.
  • Generate and secure new project opportunities by meeting with clients and business partners.
  • Secure new maintenance and support contracts which arise from the completion of new projects.
  • Meeting with clients and business partners face to face.
  • Create and deliver successful client and business partner sales pitches in order to generate new project opportunities and raise client awareness of the services and capabilities of the business.
  • Build and effectively manage a sales pipeline which positively delivers year on year growth in line with annual personal and company turnover and gross profit targets.
  • Accurate sales forecast and analysis reporting to the Sales Director.
  • Client and business partner liaison.
  • Managing inbound client sales enquiries.
  • Ensure all documentation compiled, reviewed and/or updated correctly follows business processes and procedures.

Skills/knowledge/attributes we are looking for:

  • Proven track record in new business development.
  • AV system integration project sales would be advantageous, but we will consider those with AV, IT or similarly related technology.
  • Career driven and wishing to progress within the company.
  • Strong attention to detail and technically astute.
  • Has a methodical and logical approach to work.
  • Proactive.
  • Able to manage conflicting deadlines and prioritise accordingly.
  • Excellent and polite telephone manner.
  • Willing to work and participate within a close-knit team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels within an organisation.
  • The ability to deliver under pressure with minimum supervision.
  • Focussed individual; not afraid to put in the hard work or hours to be successful in the role.
  • Driven to succeed, hungry for success.
  • Articulate, sociable, friendly, approachable, presentable and flexible.
  • Highly organised and self-motivated; possesses a drive to achieve and exceed set targets.
  • IT literate; fully conversant in the use of Office 365; previous experience of D-Tools and Viso favourable but not mandatory - full training will be provided.

Salary/package:

Basic is depending on skills and experience. OTE is uncapped 80k +. Company car or allowance. Corporate benefits are also included.
