Summary:

The Supplier Manager will be responsible for managing relationships with our suppliers to ensure the quality of materials supplied meets the company's needs, standards, and expectations. The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate an ability to deliver to agreed timelines, understand the importance of continuous improvement and be passionate about what they do. They will be capable of working independently on projects as well as within a team to deliver required outcomes. They will support the Planning and Procurement team with day-to-day supplier management issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Management of the Approved Supplier List: verifying supplier quality standards; track, qualify or disqualify suppliers.
  • Manage the development and implementation of supplier management programs, including periodic business reviews and/or audits.
  • Assist with the implementation and management of a Contract Management tool.
  • Review and management of existing Supplier Agreements, including price updates and validity periods and maintenance of accurate supplier records
  • Management of new Agreement implementation process
  • Generation and implementation of cost reduction ideas
  • Writing and maintaining SOPs relevant to supplier management programs

Requirements:

  • Degree educated (Life Science desirable) with a minimum of 2 years' experience within an engineering, quality assurance and/or manufacturing supplier quality environment, preferably within the Life Sciences Industries.
  • Ability to operate independently and remain aligned to different stakeholders in a global matrixed organisation
  • Internal or external audit training and/or experience
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing principles
  • System Knowledge: Microsoft Excel, Power BI and Link Squares.
