Distribution Administrator Assistant

Berry Recruitment are NOW hiring for a committed and experienced Distribution Administrative Assistant to work for a manufacturer in Witney, Oxfordshire on a full time, contract basis.

Role: Administrative Assistant

Salary: £24,000

Location: Witney, Oxfordshire

Hours: 39.5 per week - Mon-Fri (8am to 5pm)

Key Responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant:

  • Price check invoices from external carriers and fuel suppliers
  • Maintain performance records of external carriers.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records for all Transport related operations.
  • Produce delivery paperwork for our own lorries and provide the correct documents for external carriers.
  • Answer incoming calls relating to deliveries.
  • Make outgoing calls to customers to discuss delivery arrangements.
  • Book deliveries with external carriers to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Provide ETAs to customers and other internal departments.
  • Other related administrative tasks as required.

About you:

  • A good communicator with a friendly and confident telephone manner
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft packages.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse/distribution operation or working with Logistics Companies.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft packages and good IT skills.
