We are partnering with a Nottingham organisation, with a rich heritage spanning over 100 years, to recruit a Finance Manager for a six-month contract. This is an urgent requirement, and we are seeking candidates who are immediately available or can start at short notice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts for all group companies, including detailed commentary and variance analysis.
- Ensure accounting practices across the companies are coordinated for seamless consolidated reporting.
- Manage the monthly payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate salary payments, alongside handling deductions and employer charges.
- Complete VAT returns for all companies.
- Oversee a small team of three direct reports, providing leadership, support, and guidance to help them achieve their objectives.
- Oversee the invoicing process, credit control, and debt collection operations.
- Maintain and update financial systems and records, ensuring all procedures are documented.
- Contribute to the preparation of year-end financial statements and support the annual audit process.
Candidate Profile:
- Ideally, a qualified Finance Manager (or qualified by experience).
- Experience managing management accounts, payroll, and VAT returns is essential.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to support and manage a small team.
- Immediate availability or availability at short notice is crucial.
