Finance Manager Media (12-Month Fixed Term Contract) - Hybrid Role in London

Salary: £60-65,000 with performance-based bonuses

Are you a finance professional seeking a leadership role in a dynamic and creative industry? A fantastic opportunity has arisen with a leading company in the arts and entertainment sector. You will play a key role in overseeing financial operations and helping to shape the financial future of an innovative and fast-growing business. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of a permanent position at the end of the term.

About the Role:
As the Finance Manager, you'll be responsible for day-to-day finance operations, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Working closely with the CFO, you'll help manage the financial strategy and support key decision-making processes, with the chance to influence business performance at a senior level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable/receivable, cost accounting, revenue recognition, and billing
  • Lead the budgeting and financial forecasting process, reporting on variances
  • Prepare and publish monthly and annual financial statements and reports
  • Ensure the accuracy of financial reporting and compliance with statutory requirements
  • Streamline accounting systems and improve operational efficiency
  • Oversee cash flow management, debt collection, and the audit process
  • Develop and implement KPIs to track financial performance
  • Support senior management and board members with financial reporting and decision-making

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, ideally with a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
  • Experience: At least 5 years' experience in a financial management role, preferably within a subscription-based or media business. Experience with SMEs, start-ups, or scale-ups is an advantage
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in financial software and Excel
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial data clearly to stakeholders
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in financial reporting and analysis
  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
