Fire Safety Manager - c£56,000 - Hybrid (5 office location "hubs" across England)
Here's something you probably already know...
The housing sector is going through its biggest safety shake-up in living memory. And not before time.
Here's something you might not...
This organisation is one of the UK's significant social housing providers, with over 20,000 properties scattered across the North, East and South of England. Which means they are responsible for the safety of tens of thousands of people who call their properties home.
That's a lot of responsibility.
As their new Fire Safety Manager, you'll:
- Own the entire fire safety strategy
- Lead a small, but very experienced and knowledgeable team of Fire Safety Assessors
- Manage contractors delivering critical safety programs
- Be the technical expert who keeps us ahead of legislation
- Make sure no fire risk assessment is ever overdue
- Ensure remedial works actually get done!
You'll need:
- Solid fire safety experience (not just general health and safety, fire safety is key!)
- NEBOSH Fire Safety cert (ideally)
- Leadership skills that inspire positive action
- A driving license (inspecting properties isn't something that you can do effectively via TEAMS!)
- The ability to explain complex safety requirements in a clear and engaging way
The best bit? You'll go home every day knowing you've made thousands of homes measurably safer. And a defined benefit pension is also quite a nice addition to the package (very rare to find these days!)
The worst bit? Managing multiple stakeholders who all have different priorities. But you knew that already.
Drop me a line and we can discuss whether this is worth 45 minutes of your time to explore further.
