Salary: 50K - 55K

Location: Essex

Are you a legal professional with a passion for corporate, commercial and consumer law and confident in navigating complex legal matters?

We are working with an Essex-based client who is currently recruiting for an In-House Legal Advisor to join their team.

As the Legal Advisor you will:

  • Be the Go-To Legal Expert: Assist in all legal matters, focusing on contractual arrangements, terms and conditions, consumer disputes, insurance issues, and property-related matters.
  • Drive Business Growth: Play a pivotal role in day-to-day operations by providing legal and commercial advice during discussions and decision-making processes.
  • Ensure Compliance: Collaborate with the Compliance and HR teams to keep corporate policies, processes, and precedents up-to-date and in line with current regulations.

We are looking for the following skills and experience:

  • Qualified Solicitor: Experience in both in-house and/or private practice settings.
  • Experience: Experience in corporate, commercial, and consumer law.
  • Contract Expertise: Proven ability to draft and negotiate a diverse range of commercial contracts.
  • Litigation Skills: Experience in litigation is preferred.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage large volumes of information into actionable legal strategies.
  • Communication Pro: Excellent oral and written communication skills. Confident in negotiations and skilled at translating complex legal jargon into practical, workable solutions.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook, with the ability to operate independently.
