Sourcing / Procurement Manager - Up to £58,000 - Kettering
Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm - Hybrid/Flexible Working Available
Macildowie Supply Chain & Procurement are excited to have partnered exclusively with a well-established business in Kettering to recruit a Sourcing / Procurement Manager to add to their thriving team.
The key objective will be to support and grow the sourcing relationships, whilst negotiating and controlling our clients current and future supplier base.
Main Responsibilities
- Review spend analysis of assigned categories to identify sourcing and negotiation opportunities.
- Support the development and implementation of a clear sourcing strategy, including mitigation of risk in the supply chain, motivating/empowering people to deliver, whilst ensuring alignment with departmental and wider business goals.
- Plan and sign off our client's negotiation and supplier plan.
- Assist with budgeting and purchase price variance (PPV) analysis.
- Undertake and keep abreast of market research for assigned categories, demonstrating capacity and cost driver understanding for key materials and suppliers/industries.
- Forecasting provision for capacity and supply assurance and placing outline agreements and framework orders.
- Deliver and support supplier performance data capture, for your assigned categories to deliver KPI analysis and continuous improvement.
- Liaise with cross functional initiatives and projects as directed for assigned categories
The Candidate
- Previous experience operating in a Senior Buyer, Category Manager, Sourcing Manager or Procurement Manager role or equivalent.
- CIPS qualified or working towards.
- Comfortably able to commute to Kettering when required.
- Overseas sourcing and proficient supplier negotiation experience.
- Good communications skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels (internal and external).
- Commercially astute and able to develop a strategy to deliver strong performance against an inflationary market.
- Paper or packaging background Desirable
