CNC Brake Press Operator

- Hours - Mon to Thurs 7.30 – 4.30, Friday 7.30 – 12.30
Reed are seeking a skilled CNC Brake Press Operator with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of engineering processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing and adjusting aerospace components, adhering to technical drawings and ensuring production targets are met. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and communicate effectively with team members and line managers.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Adhere to technical drawings, instructions, and processes.
- Program and operate Amada CNC Brake Press.
- Ensure production targets are met consistently.
- Manufacture and adjust aerospace components using hand/power tools and associated machinery.
- Communicate any issues that cannot be resolved immediately to the line manager.
- Share technical knowledge and understanding with team members.
- Participate in both external and internal audits, contributing to process improvement programmes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven engineering experience, particularly within the aerospace sector.
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and documents.
- Familiarity with first-off inspection procedures.
- Essential experience in programming CNC machinery.
- Numerate with excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Manual skills and precision are crucial.
- Commitment to compliance with production, safety, and quality procedures.
