Head of Technology Operations: We have an exciting opportunity available for a strategic technology operations leader with strong technical, IT Service management and people skills in leading a diverse team of IT professionals and partners within a multi-sourced and outsourced operation encompassing onshore, nearshore, and offshore teams.
As our Head of Technology Operations, you will lead and direct our core IT infrastructure, service operation & service delivery function. As part of our IT leadership team (ITLT), the role ensures our cloud based & on-premises infrastructure, and end user services continually operate as designed and are delivered to service level expectation.

Here are some of the main responsibilities of the Head of Technology Operations role:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a robust and comprehensive technology operation strategy aligned with the organisations goals and objectives.
  • Leadership: Lead by example in mentoring our TechOps leaders and teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement in managing a team of 100+ IT professionals, ensuring effective team ethos and positive internal customer outcomes.
  • IT Service Assurance: Oversee IT service design and transition processes, change management, and the Change Advisory Board (CAB) to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruption to services.
  • CMDB and Service Mapping: Implement and maintain a Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and ensure accurate service and asset mapping to enhance visibility and control of IT assets and services to ensure important business services are aligned to regulatory and customer need.
  • IT Customer Service Experience: Strive for service excellence by delivering high-quality technology solutions and services that meet the needs of internal and external customers, and maintain a customer-centric mindset and focus on delivering value-added services that drive business outcomes and enhance our overall IT customer experience.

  • Ability to positively engage and contribute at all levels.
  • Experienced commercial awareness and demonstrable understanding of key business drivers.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Sound technical background with experience in managing IT functions in high availability and mission critical operations.
  • Effective organisational. negotiation and influencing skills.
