Requirements:

  • Recent psychology graduate with at least a 2:2 bachelor's degree.
  • Passion for the education of students with additional learning needs.
  • Some understanding of special educational needs.
  • A warm, friendly personality with a natural ability to build strong bonds with students.
  • Previous experience of working in a school setting is beneficial, but not mandatory.

The Role

As a Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide a Year 10 SEN student with 1:1 support across the curriculum to raise their attainment level and aid them in achieving their full potential. You will be responsible for adapting learning materials to accommodate the student's additional needs and support their understanding. In order to provide this student with effective support, you will need to build a strong bond with the student and work in close collaboration with teaching staff.
