We have an initially temporary Production Operative role available within Aggragate Industries in Shepton Mallet. This role is ideal for someone who has experience working in a production envionment and who adheres to the Health and Safety regulations, we're looking for someone who's a team-player and has to the ability to work to deadlines.
Role: Production Operative
Location: Torr Quarry - Block Works Section (concrete works), Shepton Mallet, BA4 4AR
Rate: £13.56ph
Contract length: 3 months rolling contract
Shift Patterns: Day shift only 6am - 3pm.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the quarry, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Managing and motivating a team of quarry operators and staff.
- Ensuring compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Monitoring and improving production processes to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Managing maintenance schedules and liaising with maintenance teams to minimise downtime.
- Tracking and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Maintaining strong working relationships with peers, suppliers, and customers.
Essential requirements:
- Strong production operative background.
- Team-player
- Manual handling
- Physically fit
- Willingness to learn and would be interested in gaining training.
- Adhering to the Health & Safety at all times.
Desirable requirements:
- Forklift License
