*** Residential Support Workers ***
We're partnering with a company looking for strong Residential Support Workers for their Children and Young People's Service in Ribchester.
The company offers high-quality residential care and education for children and young people with mental health conditions such as Autism, Social, Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties, and complex needs associated with challenging behaviour.
Role Overview:
- Support children in maintaining and developing relationships with friends and family.
- Encourage integration with the local community through clubs and day centres.
- Assist children with daily living activities.
- Safeguard vulnerable children and report any suspicions or evidence of harm. Perform housekeeping duties and maintain hygiene standards when children are not in the service.
Requirements:
- Experience in a care and support environment or personal experience caring for someone with mental health issues.
- A Children's Residential Level 3 qualification is desirable but not essential (can lead to higher pay rates).
Details:
Location: Ribchester
Contract: Temporary to permanent
Pay Rate: Starting from £13 - £15 per hour / £22k - £26k per annum.
Hours: Full time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people in your care.
- Provide support and encouragement.
- Listen actively and calmly, ask questions to ensure understanding, and acknowledge what is being said.
