Part Time HR Administrator

Optimum Recruitment Group are recruiting for an amazing business in Bradford who are looking to appoint to a part time HR Administrator role on a fixed term contract, initially for a minimum term of 6 months. The contract will start ideally in July 2024.

Our client ideally needs someone to 'roll their sleeves up' and get involved in any HR administrative task required by the team during this period of change.

Your duties will include:

  • Carrying out pre-employment checks such as requesting references and right to work checks.
  • Assisting in the drafting and preparation of new starter packs, including contracts and offer letters.
  • Assisting with recruitment administration including placing job adverts, managing the recruitment inbox and sharing applications with line managers, inviting candidates to interview, sending out remits, preparing interview packs.
  • Assisting in the draft of standard HR letters, such as probation-related letters, end of employment letters and changes to terms and conditions.
  • Keeping HR records up to date and accurate at all times.
  • Ensuring that all HR records are securely stored.
  • Daily management of the HRIS action list.
  • Liaising with line managers and colleagues to ensure that documentation is returned in a timely manner.
  • Assisting in the preparation of documentation for monthly payroll.
  • Organising induction and training schedules for new starters.
  • Sending forms out to managers to complete with their new starter and ensure that they are returned within specified timescales.
  • Keeping up to date with employment law changes and ensure that documentation is updated as a result.
  • Maintaining an awareness of employment legislation and HR best practice at all times.
  • Other duties as required to ensure the smooth running of the HR function.

As the successful candidate you will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A talent for problem solving and the ability to apply judgement based on the situation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced high volume environment.
  • Experience in planning and prioritising your own workload.
  • Computer literate with the ability to learn new systems.

Salary up to c£30,000 pro rata plus benefits. Hours can be flexible c20 per week.
