Management Accountant
Salary: £45,000k - £50,000k

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a close-knit team within a growing retail business based in Salford. You will be working very closely with the Financial Controller, being a key finance contact dealing with a variety of queries. They are flexible with hours of work and can accommodate start times ranging from 7am-10am! This is a 37.5 hour working week with an early finish on a Friday!
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of and produce comprehensive management accounts along with the associated reporting pack.
- Conduct detailed analysis of variances against the budget and forecasts.
- Reconcile stock and stock adjustments.
- Produce and oversee the monthly accruals and prepayments.
- Manage the fixed assets register and associated depreciation journals.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with year-end audit preparation.
- Reconcile intercompany accounts.
- Rolling P&L forecasting including integrated working capital model
- Assisting with the annual Budget cycle and quarterly reforecast
- Rolling Cashflow forecasting
What you'll need to succeed as a Management Accountant
- Part qualified with 1 or 2 exams remaining.
- Highly motivated and self-driven individual with excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- In-depth understanding of FP&A
- Able to work independently.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Positive attitude towards work.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proven skills in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel and to be able to manipulate large set of data.
- Great team player.
- Have proven experience of working to tight deadlines.
